Online ADHD care for adults
Calm table setting with books, a candle and warm evening tones

About AvondFocus.

Diagnostics and treatment of ADHD in adults. Fully online, on Wednesday evenings.

So you do not have to take time off during the day for your care. Work, study or caring for others does not have to get in the way.

Online diagnostics can work well when organised carefully. We use identity checks, consent, collateral history where possible, somatic screening, risk triage and clear crisis routes.

No. We specialise in ADHD in adults (18 years and older). For other care needs, we refer you back to your GP.

About registration and waiting time.

You need a referral letter from your GP. Your GP can refer you via ZorgDomein or by secure email.

You can find the current registration waiting time and treatment waiting time after intake on our waiting-times page.

Three things: a completed screening questionnaire, a current medication overview from your pharmacy, and a recent blood pressure measurement. You will receive information about this after registration.

About costs and reimbursement.

ADHD diagnostics and treatment may be insured specialist mental-health care when there is a valid referral, a suitable care need and an insured DSM classification or indication. AvondFocus works contract-free through De GGZ Coöperatie; reimbursement depends on your policy.

Your reimbursement depends on your health insurer, policy conditions and any prior authorisation requirement. See the central explanation on Fees and reimbursement and check your policy with your insurer.

Yes. The statutory deductible (€ 385 in 2026) also applies to mental health care, just as with other medical-specialist care.

Medication is handled by your own pharmacy and insurance. For ADHD medication, a statutory maximum personal contribution of €250 per year applies.

About treatment.

A multidisciplinary team: a nurse specialist (coordinating clinician), a physician and a psychiatrist (supervisor). Who you see and when depends on the phase of your trajectory.

The number of appointments differs per care need; we work with a compact, goal-oriented trajectory. At the start we discuss what is realistic and appropriate.

If medication is appropriate, yes. We discuss this together after diagnostics. Medication is an option, not an obligation.

Yes, through secure messages in our portal. We respond within 2 working days. For emergencies, call your GP or 112.

About the practical side.

A laptop, computer or tablet with camera and microphone, a stable internet connection, and a quiet private space.

Only if you give permission. We ask for this during registration.

Yes, preferably at least 48 hours in advance. If you do not attend without timely notice, we may charge a no-show fee.
