ADHD diagnostics and treatment may be insured specialist mental-health care when there is a valid referral, a suitable care need and an insured DSM classification or indication. Because we work on a non-contracted basis, the exact reimbursement depends on your policy.

AvondFocus works as an affiliated practice within De GGZ Coöperatie U.A., a healthcare institution under the Dutch Wtza. De GGZ Coöperatie has not concluded contracts with health insurers.

We use the rates set annually by the Dutch Healthcare Authority (NZa) for specialist mental health care. These rates are public.

Your policy determines the level of reimbursement.
In-kind policy
Usually a lower percentage; the difference is at your own expense.
Combination policy
Reimbursement differs per part of your policy.
Our advice is to call your insurer before starting your trajectory and ask what percentage you will be reimbursed for "non-contracted specialist mental health care". Ask for this in euros or as a percentage of the NZa rate.
Cancellation and non-attendance
No-shows are not reimbursed.
Appointments cancelled less than 48 hours before the start time, or appointments you do not attend, are registered as no-shows.
A fee of €100 is charged for this. This amount is not reimbursed by your health insurer. You receive an email reminder before every appointment.
Non-insured care
Not every care question falls under basic insurance.
Certain care questions do not fall under basic insurance, such as adjustment disorders, work problems or relationship problems as the primary diagnosis.
